Model & Writer Liz LaPoint answers your questions about dating, sex, and relationships

Greetings, Babes!

I received a letter from “Kate” who is wondering if she’s being a jealous girlfriend over nothing. Her concern is pretty relatable; most of us have, at some point, found ourselves in her position. Click here to watch the video to see what I have to tell her, and let me know in the comments below what you think about it!

PS: We should probably be referring to his actions as “re-friending”, as I find it hard to believe he wasn’t “friends” with his ex-girlfriends on Facebook at the time he was dating them.

  1. Great advice! Your point about trust, that when people get defensive instead of answer direct questions is a great point. The gaslighting behavior that shady guys do when being dishonest always causes so much doubt that women start to blame themselves for wanting to communicate. It’s such an easy and common distraction.

    1. Exactly! The “why don’t you trust me” distraction is to make the other person wonder if they have “trust and insecurity” issues. Obviously, there are exceptions, when someone really does have emotional issues causing them to be paranoid, so each case needs to be considered within individual contexts.

      1. There are always exceptions, but 99.9999% of the time, it’s totally a smoke show.
